W.L. Hemphill, 81, of
Spiro, OK passed away Monday, December 2, 2019 in Spiro. W.L. was born May 31, 1938 in Oak Grove, LA
to Marvin & Aline (Smith) Hemphill.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Bobbie Jean Hemphill;
children, Irwin, Wendell & Deral; great grandchild, Adalyn Crochet.
Survivors include his wife
of 39 years, Mary; children, Heidi Durham, Rocky & Renita Hemphill, Tonya
& Rodger Phillips, Shannon & Jo Hemphill, Martin & Amanda Hemphill;
numerous grand and great grandchildren; brothers, Oneal Hemphill, Harvey Ray
Hemphill, Carl V. Hemphill; sisters, Jeanett Stokes, Shirley Laforge, Sandra
Ratcliff, Margie McNeil, Theresa Taylor; other relatives, loved ones and
friends.
Services will be 2 pm,
Thursday, December 5, 2019 at Evans Memorial Chapel, Pocola with Jimmy Herring
officiating. Interment will follow at
New Hope Cemetery, Spiro. The family
will be at the funeral home in Pocola on Wednesday from 6-8 pm to visit with
relatives and friends.
