Betty Jean Cobb, 76, of
Poteau, OK passed away Sunday, December 15, 2019 in Poteau. Betty was born October 1, 1943 in Ballinger,
TX to A.O. & Ethel Elizabeth (Phillips) Fenwick. She was a nurse. Betty was preceded in death by her parents;
husband, Edward Henry Cobb (7/5/2014); one son, Edward Lee; brother, Floyd
Fenwick.
Survivors include her daughter,
Mary Ellen Cobb Rose; son, David Bronson Cobb both of Poteau; 8
grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren;
sisters, Ethel Wynonna & Edward Calcote of Gainesville, TX, Janet &
bobby Appleton of San Angelo, TX; brother, W.S. “Sonny” & Sue Fenwick of
Cypress, TX; sisters in law, Mary Patterson & Sadie Hornsby of Sayre, OK,
Elsie Rumley of Coalgate, OK; special grandchildren, Rosemary, Edwardo and Omie
Speiker; other relatives, loved ones and friends.
Services will be 2 pm,
Thursday, December 19, 2019 at Evans
Chapel of Memories, Poteau, OK with Jim Cook officiating. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery,
Poteau.
