Linda Gail (Newnam) Williams, 75, of Poteau, OK passed away Sunday, June 6, 2021 in Heavener, OK. Linda was born April 21, 1946 in Bethel (west of Shady Point, OK) to Charles & Bonnie (Brown) Newnam. She worked as an art teacher all her life in the Poteau, Shady Point, Panama & Fort Smith areas. She enjoyed working with children; as well as helping start art programs for Senior Citizens in the Poteau area.
Survivors include her sons, Shane Hughes, Shawn Hughes, Raun Williams; her mother, Bonnie Payne; brother, Bill Newnam; sister, Susan Salmeron; grandchildren, Kelsey Hughes, Colby Hughes; great grandson, Mateo; other relatives, loved ones and friends.
Memorial service 10 am, Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau.
