Taylor Edwin Newby, 69, of
Poteau, OK passed away Monday, March 5, 2018 in Ft. Smith, AR. Taylor was born March 3, 1949, in Seminole,
OK to Jess L. & Elizabeth Mae (Arthur) Newby. He was a veteran of the US Army.
Survivors include his wife,
Brenda of the home; son & daughter in law, Donny & Angelia Newby of
Poteau, OK; grandchildren, Alexandria "Alex" Rolf & Sam Williams
of Heavener, OK, Taelor "Katie" & Jason Collier of Booneville,
AR, Jacob Rolf of Poteau, OK; great
grandson, Luke Collier of Booneville, AR;
his mother, Elizabeth of Pocola, OK; sister & brother in law,
Jessica & Larry Gregory of Wister, OK; brothers & sisters in law,
Kenneth & Brenda Newby of Street, MD,
Richard & Lisa Newby of Howe, OK; other relatives, loved ones and
friends.
Memorial Services will be 2 pm,
Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Oakland Cemetery Pavilion, Poteau with Jim Cook
officiating.

We can't hardly conceive of a life without seeing or hearing from Taylor at least every couple of months! This is a person who had more than his share of pain and problems, most due to serving this country after being drafted into the Vietnam War, but you didn't hear him complain. He was more concerned about what was going on in your life. He dearly loved his family and he lived life to the fullest! He loved making his rounds during the day....coffee shop, pawn shop, Carl's, and many more stops that he would work into the day just to be able to see a friend for a few minutes or a couple hours, whatever they needed from him! Taylor, you and that infectious laugh and smile are going to be missed by a lot of us!!!! Rest in Peace and enjoy that new healthy body that your funloving soul now inhabits! Larry and Loretta Capell
