Elnora Jenson

Wanda 'Elnora'  Jenson, 86,  of  Wister, OK passed away Friday, September 29, 2017.  She was born February 6, 1931 to Vernie and Gladys (Wise) Traywick.  She was a graduate of  Poteau High School.  She was co-owner and operator of Jenson's Furniture in Wister, OK until she retired in 1982.

Survivors include two daughters, Bobbie Vinson of Wilburton, OK and Terrie Wells and husband Danny of Denison, TX; grandchildren, JeremyVinson and wife Amanda of Wilburton, OK. Lacy Russell and Jackson Wells of Sherman, TX; five great grandchildren.

Services will be 2 pm, Monday, October 2, 2017 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, OK with Jim Cook & Don McClain officiating.  Burial will follow in Monroe Cemetery, Monroe, OK. Pallbearers will be Steve Walden, Dwight Robinson, Bill Young, Dennis Lungstrum, Stanley Jenson & Cliff Midgley.

Pauline Walters

Gladys "Pauline" Walters, 88, of Poteau, OK passed away Friday, Sept. 29, 2017 in Ft Smith, AR.  Pauline was born December 2, 1928 in Cameron, OK to Leonard & Eunice (Thompson)  Sexton.   She was a beautician. 

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Townsley of Wister, OK; 2 grandsons; 3 great grandchildren & 5 Great Great Grandchildren; twin brother & sister, Walter Gibson & Wanda Marshall.

There will be open visitation on Saturday from 8-8; Sunday 12-8 and Monday 8-5pm.

Margaret Donaho

Margaret Hope Donaho, 87, of Wister, OK passed  away  Thursday, September 28, 2017 in Wister.  Margaret was born December 20, 1929 in Wister, OK to William Alfred & Eva Alnita (Green) Midgley.  Margaret was a faithful member of the Church of God 7th Day in Wister for 55 years.  She was a seamstress and homemaker.  Margaret was who kept the office running smoothly at Donaho Stone.  She lived for  God, her family and serving others.   Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, James Calvin Donaho; daughter, Zelan Alnita Vaughn; son, Dennis Lee Donaho; sisters, Opal Morgan, Dee Midgley, Vina Wiggington & Ann Massey; brothers, Charley, William & Marvin Midgley.

Survivors include her sons, Jimmy Duane Donaho, Don Marvin Donaho & partner Sheila Burns; daughters, Willa Denise Donaho, Jerri Ann & husband Mark Pennington; sister, Loretta Bullard; brother, Maurice Midgley all of Wister; grandchildren, John & Nikki Perry, Joe & Jennifer Rice, Celio & Tonya Calvillo, Michael & Mary Donaho, Tim & Leann Shrouder,  Jody & Shawna Riggs, Eric & Lynn Donaho, Jason Donaho, Casey & Jalene Jackson, Zack & Callee Moore, Rip & Ragan  Robbins, Jeromy Akers, Zach Akers & Crystal Wooten, E.J. & Mahalee Collier, Treaver Pennington, Jake & Michelle Donaho, Delbert & Lindsey Wynn; 40 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; other relatives, loved ones and friends.

Services will be 2 pm, Sunday, October 1, 2017 at Church of God 7th Day in Wister,  OK with Lamar Ford officiating.  Interment will follow in Ellis Chapel Cemetery, Wister.  Pallbearers will be Jason, Eric & Jake Donaho, Seth Akers, Dawson Perry, Waylon Hartness.  Honorary pallbearers will be Jeremy Akers, Michael Donaho, Treaver Pennington, Zach Akers, John Perry, Casey Jackson, Zach Moore, Jody Riggs, E.J. Collier, Rip Robbins, Celio Calvillo.

Donald Ray Spellins

Donald Ray Spellins, 68, of Bokoshe, OK passed away Monday, September 25, 2017 in Bokoshe.  Donald was born March 30,1949 in Tulsa, OK to William & Mary (Conway) Spellins.  He was a Vietnam veteran serving in the US Army.  Donald was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Minton & his parents.

Survivors include his daughter, Cindy & husband Mark Harmon of Bokoshe, OK; grandchildren, Brandon & Orenda Carter of Marshfield, WI, Blake Harmon of Bokoshe, OK, Tiffany Jones of Tulsa, OK; great grandchildren, Jonathan Rider, Jaxxon Harmon-Carter, Jase Carter, Aaleigha  Chotinikorn,  Deontrae Jones, Da'markus Jones, Darius Wells; sister, Elizabeth Moore of Sand Springs, OK; lifelong friend of 60 years, Gary Moser; other relatives, loved ones and friends.

Services will be 2 pm, Saturday, September, 30, 2017 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, OK.  Pallbearers will be Mark, Blake & Marty Harmon, Brandon Carter, Jonathan Rider, Chase Wyrick, and Kyle Stephens.  Honorary pallbearers will be Gene Fulbright, Gary Moser and David Williams.

The family will be at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6-8 pm to visit with relatives & friends.

Larry Wayne Duke

Larry Wayne Duke, 56,of Panama, OK passed away Sunday, September 24, 2017 in Panama.  Larry was born July 14, 1961 in Ft. Smith, AR to James & Helen (Chaney) Duke.  He was preceded in death by his father and two sisters, Tina Faye Edwards & Cynthia Ann Duke.

Survivors include his daughters, Kristy Williams of  Missouri, Jamie Ellis of Wister, OK & Nikki Moeller of Missouri; son, Jeremy Duke of Poteau, OK; mother, Helen Jo Duke of Muldrow, OK; sisters, Donna Orsburn of Panama, OK and Angela Williams of Muldrow, OK; 13 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; other relatives, loved ones and friends.

Memorial services will be 10 am, Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, OK with Rev. Randy Cauthron officiating.
