I have always considered George to be a loyal life long friend. We first met in the sixth grade and continued from there to high school graduation in 1953. We played Spiro Bulldog football for 5 years. He and I made a lot of hopefully untraceable tracks around Spiro during those years. Some of them were stupid and embarrassing when we were adults but we always enjoyed remembering them at our class reunions. All of them seemed like a splendid idea at the time. You will be greatly missed my friend. George Lee Smith will always have a special place in my memory.
