Billie Jean Logan



Billie Jean Logan, 88, of Shady Point, OK passed away Tuesday, January 12,  2016 in Tulsa, OK.  Billie was born July 30 1927 in Poteau, OK to Cleveland "Dude" & Elva (Kell) Davis.  She & Gene owned Gene's Food Market in Poteau during the 60's & 70"s.  Billie loved to cook and feed people .  If  you left hungry it was your own fault.  She was a fantastic gardener.  She loved everyone, especially her church.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Logan;  parents, son in law, Derrail Roland.

Survivors include her daughter, Sue Roland of Shady Point, OK; son, Jerry Logan & wife Peggy of Keota, OK; grandchildren, Jerry Don Logan of  Wister, OK, Jeff  Logan & wife Amanda , Derrail Wayne Roland & wife Mindy all of Dog Creek, OK; sister, Lucille Williams of Morgan Hill, CA; special niece & nephew, Sarah Marklein & Jerry Marklein of Dardanelle, AR; 7 great grandchildren, Jerry Lee Logan & wife Samantha, Chelsea Logan, Billie Jean Logan, Jessie Ann Logan, Seth Griffith, Mason Griffith & Jorgi Griffith; 3 great great grandchildren, Diesel Logan, Mila Logan & Tyler Don Oldham; 2 more grandchildren expected in August;  Billie's long time bosom buddy, "CAT"; other relatives, loved ones and friends.

Services will be   2 pm, Monday, January 18, 2016  at Shady Point Assembly of God with Bro. Joe Owen officiating.  Interment will follow in Shady Point Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Pastor Doyle Martin, Pastor Mark Hodges, Pastor Mike Bunch, Pastor Ken Gaukel, Pastor  Bill Krantz, Pastor  Jim Graham, Jesse Linne, and Jim Melson.

The family will be at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 2-4 pm to visit with relatives & friends.

Dear Sue,
I am so sorry to hear about you mom. She was a wonderful lady and she held a special place in my heart. Oh how I wish I could be there with you, but please know you and your family are in my prayers.
