Jerry Don Guinn, 70, of Shady
Point, OK passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2015 in Shady Point. Jerry was born November 9, 1944 in Heavener,
OK to Tobe Gerald & Juanita Olive
(Gann) Guinn. He was an
electrician. Jerry was a 1963 graduate of Heavener High School where he
played football & baseball. He
stayed in touch with many of his HS friends over the years. Jerry attended NSU in Tahlequah. He served as a LeFlore County Deputy for Sheriff
Roy Gentry. Jerry coached softball for
his two daughters and he made a great impression on his daughters, all 15 of
them; because he considered & treated all the girls as his own.
Survivors include his wife,
Gayle of the home; daughters, Dena Guinn of Poteau, OK, Angie & husband
Josh Wade of Clearlake, CA; grandson, Eli; granddaughter, Haylee; sister,
Shirley Ann Selph of CA; niece, Toby Kay; other children, Chris Monks of Greenback, TN, Tracy Monks of Philadelphia,
TN; 5 other grandchildren; other relatives,
loved ones and friends.
Services will be 2 pm,
Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, OK with Rev. Jim
Cook officiating. Interment will follow
in Shady Point Cemetery. Pallbearers
will be JD Cook, Kent Bledsoe, Jason Clark, Robert Baker, Jerry Collins, Brian
Dameron; honorary pallbearers will be Larry Tustin and AV Skinner Jr.
