Betty Ruth James, 84, of Shady Point, OK
passed away Thursday, July 25, 2013 in Shady Point. Betty was born January 21, 1929 in Latham, OK
to Oscar & Lola (Sulivant) Brandy.
She was a member of First Baptist Church
in Shady Point, OK.
Betty was a retired telephone operator.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dale James on March
28, 2011; grandson, Travis Reed, and great grandson, Jordan Martin.
Survivors include her
daughters & sons in law, Patricia & Neil Donathan of Shady Point, OK, Mona
& Kirk Reed of Mountainburg, AR, Ruth & Steve Burrows of Edmond, OK;
son and daughter in law, Robert & Linda James of Shady Point, OK;
grandchildren, David Donathan, Shannon Lee, Ashley Goff, Robbin Stockton, Chris
James, Stephanie Martin, Stacy Christopher, Joshua Burrows; great
grandchildren, Steven Lee, Alyssa Lee, Courtney Lee, Joseph Lee, Nickolas
Donathan, Kenedi Ross, Izac Goff, Louden
Stockton, Kagan Stockton, Dakota James, Jaxon James, Savannah Martin, Aiden
Martin, Finn Christopher; sister in law, Betty Jo James; other relatives &
loved ones; many beloved friends.
Services will be 10 am,
Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, OK
with Rev. Garry Haskins and Rev. Larry Matthiesen officiating. Interment will be in James
Cemetery, Calhoun, OK. Pallbearers will be grandsons & great
grandsons, David Donathan, Nickolas Donathan, Steven Lee, Chris James, Dakota
James, Joshua Burrows, David Christopher, Jeremy Martin. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons,
great grandsons & nephews, Allan Stockton, Jarrod Lee, Corey Goff,
Louden Stockton, Kagan Stockton, Izac Goff, Jaxon James, Aiden Martin,
Finn Christopher, Gary James, Danny James, Bryan James.
The family will be at the
funeral home on Monday evening from 6-8 pm to visit with relatives &
friends.
