Tommie Louise
Griffin, 74, of Shady Point, OK passed away Sunday November 25, 2012 in Shady
Point. Tommie was born October 28, 1938
in Bonham, TX to Joseph Saul & Bonnie (Marsh) Nowell. She was preceded in death by her siblings,
Joyce Davis, Jim Nowell and Bill Nowell; nephew, Joseph Nowell; niece, Christy
Nowell Rogers; grandson, Jason Markley; and Joseph Saul Nowell; her parents and
stepfather, Jack Coltrane; numerous aunts and uncles. She was a beautician for 45 years.
She is survived by
her brother Doug Nowell; children Shauna & Tommy Caldwell, Eddie Griffin; Kitty & Elliot
Gelles; grandchildren, Colin Caldwell,
Evan Griffin, Lauren Griffin, Dr. Christopher Sudduth, wife Beka Sudduth and
their son, Ethan; great granddaughter, Michelle Markley Mills; great grandson,
Logan Markley; nieces, Leigh Nowell McCumber, Tracey Nowell Christianberry,
Bonnie Davis Weeks, Julie Keeling and Sharon Hugle; nephews, Paul Davis,
Stanley Davis, Thomas Davis, Jimmy Dale Nowell & Bill Nowell; brother in
law, Paul Davis Sr., Sisters in law, Sue Nowell, Charlene Nowell and Donna
Littlejohn; special friends, Donald and Peggy Caldwell, Mandi Stout, and
Governor Mary Fallin; the troopers of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol; the many
beauticians and customers she befriended throughout her career.
Services will be 10
am, Thursday, November 29, 2012 at the Calvary Assembly of God, Poteau, OK
with Rev. Lynn Bullard officiating.
Interment will be in Dog
Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers will be the LeFlore/Latimer County Detachment
Troop “D”. The family will be at the
funeral home on Wednesday evening from 5-7 pm to visit with relatives &
friends.

Shawna and Tommy my heart filled sorrow for your loss although i know your mother is in a better place being with our Lord Jessus Christ i can't help filling the void of not having her here with us.My prayers are with you and your familey while you struggle though these difficult times in the days to come. i pray that the Good Lord rests his hands of healing and guidence on you both.Jerre Cox EMSLC
