George Vernon “Sam”
McAmis, 80, of Shady Point, OK passed away Thursday, November 1, 2012 in Shady
Point. Sam was born April 6, 1932 in
Alpaugh, CA to George & Jane (Burk) McAmis.
He was the owner of Stanford Glass Company. Sam was preceded in death by his parents;
wife, Thelma; daughter, Kathy Gilgo and granddaughter, April Gilgo.
Survivors include
his grandson Shawn Gilgo of California; great grandson, August Charles Gilgo of
Shady Point, OK; brother in law & sister in law, Jim & Sandy Daugherty
of Poteau, OK; sister in law & brother in law, Carol & Norman Johnson
of Poteau, OK; other relatives &
loved ones; many beloved friends.
Services will be 4
pm, Friday, November9, 2012 graveside at Shady
Point Cemetery,

We were greatly saddened to hear about Sam's passing. We missed our good neighbors Sam and Thelma when they moved to Oklahoma. Our prayers are with Shawn and Charlie and all of the family.
