Maxine McCoy, 64,
of Poteau, OK passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2012 in Tulsa, OK. Maxine was born October 7, 1948 in Page, OK
to Isaac & Cordia (Graham) Jones.
She was head cook at Poteau Upper Elementary for 34 years. Maxine was dearly loved and was a great
member of the community. She loved to
sit on her porch with her grandchildren.
Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin McCoy; her parents;
grandson, Jacob “Jake” Freeman; brothers, Leo and Billy Jones; brother in law,
Hank Holt.
Survivors include
her daughters, Tracey Freeman & husband, Ray, Sherry Hilderbrand &
husband Jim; son, Joshua McCoy &
wife, Michelle; grandchildren, Farron Crouch & husband Casey, Logan Hilderbrand,
Cody, Cadie & Carlee McCoy; great grandchild, Eli Crouch; sisters in law,
Carolyn Jones Lowe of Heavener, OK, Alma Jones of Mena, AR; sisters, Bobbie
Holt of Norman, OK, Patsy & Garland “Crook” Watts of Blackfork, AR,
Charlene & Bob Harris , Judy & Jimmy Dunigan, Shirley & Willie
Clinton; brothers, Fred & Carolyn
Jones, Isaac “Pete” Jones all of Heavener, OK.
Services will be 1
pm, Saturday, October 20, 2012 at the
Poteau First Assembly of God Church with Rev. Tim Trent officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. View Cemetery, Glendale,
OK. Pallbearers will be her nephews Jack Harris,
Bryan Clinton, Wes Jones, Jimmy Dunigan, Danny Harris, Sam, Steve & Alford Watts, Bruce Holt, Jim, Tim & Keith Jones.
The family will be
at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6-8 pm to visit with relatives &
friends.

We all send our heartful prayers to you all on the loss of your mother and grandmother. She helped me out so much when we lived in Poteau for a time.She was always so kind to me.I will always remember when we would get in her car and go get a ice cold coke.She will always be on my mind for her kind heart.So Love and Prayers to you all during this time.
