Bobbie Lee Turner Russell, 84. of Poteau,
OK passed away Friday, October
5, 2012 in Poteau. Bobbie was born March
2, 1928 in Fine Springs, AR to Ray & Ida Mae (Dennis)
Blount. She was a telephone operator for
Alltel. Bobbie was a member of the First
Free Will Baptist Church, Poteau,
OK. Preceded in death by her daughter, Ida Mae
Turner in 1958; granddaughter, Lisa Turner in 1992; her parents; berother,
Arvel Joe Chitwood. She loved
bowling. She loved to run around with
her childhood school friends, Wilma Lee, Tootie Alfred, Grace Boggains, Mary
Joe Logan, and Doris Robertson.
Survivors include her son &
daughter in law, Glen Jr. & Maureen Turner of Owasso, OK; 5 grandchildren;
other relatives & loved ones; many beloved friends and her church family. Services will be 2 pm, Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at the First Free Will Baptist Church, Poteau with Rev. Jim Cook & Rev. Barry Reel officiating. Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Poteau. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Bryan Newport, Brent Newport; friends, Garry Skinner, Floyd Morris, Jonathan Clark & Barry Reel.
