Leonard Thomas Shropshire, 81, of Poteau, OK passed away Friday, January 20, 2012 in Fort Smith, AR. Leonard was born November 4, 1930 in Yuma, AZ to Thomas I. & Mary Ann (Short) Shropshire. He worked in the oil field. Leonard was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Geneva Shrophire; 1 brother, 1 sister, daughter, Kathy Shropshire and son, Brandon Ellison.
Survivors include his sons, Billy Shropshire of Wister, OK, Melvin Shropshire of Midland, TX; daughter, Debra Kay Hopkins of Kermit, TX; 15 Grandchildren; 1 sister, Novella Russell of Hobbs, NM; numerous great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives & loved ones; many beloved friends.
Services were at 2 pm, Tuesday, January 24, 2012, graveside at Kermit Cemetery, Kermit, TX with Bro. Ken Sisco officiating. Interment followed under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home, Poteau, OK
