Freida Elizabeth Baird, 92, of Poteau, OK passed away Sunday, October 2, 2011 in Poteau. Freida was born February 7, 1919 in Lancaster, TX to Nick Olen & Eddie C. (Brundage) Worley. She worked in a dry goods store as a clerk and many years at City Shoe Market. Freida was preceded in death by her husband, Idus Baird; great grandson, Carson Wann; and her parents.
Survivors include her daughter & son in law, Nancy & Jim Wann of Poteau, OK; grandchildren, Roger & Dawn Wann of Lindsey, TX, Danny & Elizabeth Wann of Poteau, OK; great grandchildren, Nathan Privett, Britney Wann, Sabrina Wann-Minor, Nick Wann, Jace Wann, Logan Wann, Faith Wann, & Gauge Wann.
Services will be 10 am, Thursday, October 6, 2011 at First Baptist Church in Monroe, OK with Rev. Garry Haskins officiating. Interment will follow in Monroe Cemetery, Monroe, OK. Pallbearers will be Danny Wann, Roger Wann, Kirk Smith, Donald Smith, Nathan Privett, Jace Wann, Nick Wann & Logan Wann. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of the church.
The family will be at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6-7 pm to visit with relatives & friends.
