Tony Cox

Tony Cox, 94, of Cameron, OK passed away Saturday, November 29, 2008 in Ft. Smith, AR. Tony was born in Rock Island, Ok on February 9, 1914 to John & Bertie Cox. He was a livestock inspector & rancher. He was a member of the Rock Island Free Will Baptist Church. He was a very special person to all he left behind. He was a very devoted Christian; auctioneer, farmer, & cattleman who loved gospel music. He as always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone. He loved gardening & children; loved to watch them at play. He served our country in WWII with the US Navy. Tony was preceded in death by his parent,; 6 sisters, 1 brother & 2 daughters. He is survived by his wife, Jewel of the home; son & daughter-in-law, Gaylon & Georgia Ann Cox of Hackett, AR; 10 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren; 5 Great Great Grandchildren; other relatives & loved ones; a host of beloved friends. Services 10 am, Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at Rock Island Free Will Baptist Church, Rock Island, OK with the Rev. Brad Kuhl & Rev. Jackie Edwards officiating. Interment Greenhill Cemetery, Cameron, OK. Pallbearers: Randy Cox, Dewayne Cox, Greg Butler, Steve Butler, Noble McIntyre, Kevin Burton. Honorary Pallbearers: Freddie Edwards, Jon Edwards, Kevin Edwards, & Tim Edwards.

Cameron School wishes to express their condolences to the family of Tony Cox. Tony was Santa for several years at Cameron school and made an impression on hundreds of children. He will truly be missed.
