Funeral Service for Tommy Dale Wilson, 71 of Poteau, Oklahoma will be at 2:00pm on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau, Oklahoma with Reverend Jim Cook and Reverend Derek Glasco officiating. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Poteau, Oklahoma under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home in Poteau, Oklahoma.
He was born on July 22, 1950 in Upton, California to Martha Rella (Irwin) Wilson and Woodrow Dillard Wilson and passed away on May 25, 2022 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow and Martha Wilson; brothers, Dillard Wilson, Harold Wilson; and sister, Patricia Butler. Tommy attended church at Solid Rock in Panama, Oklahoma. He served in the Marines for 6 years and 16 years in the Oklahoma National Guard, and retired as a Major. Tommy was a rural carrier for 26 years in Poteau, Oklahoma. He loved to play the guitar and sing.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Wilson; daughter, Kim Neal and husband Jackie; grandchildren, Kaila Neal, Kelsey Neal, Joshua Neal, numerous other relatives and loved ones.
