John Charlton

Funeral Service for John Charlton, 82 of Mena, Arkansas will be at 10 am on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at Evans and Miller Chapel  in Poteau, Oklahoma with Brother Jeremy Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Greenhill Cemetery in Cameron, Oklahoma under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home.

John was born on July 17, 1939 in Smithville, Oklahoma to Pearl (Osborne) and Jesse Charlton and passed away on April 29, 2022 in Fort Smith, Arkansas.  He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Rose Childers, and Sylvia Coffey; brother, William Charlton; John enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and yard work.

Survivors include: daughter, Kelley Johnson and husband Steve; son, John Gregory Charlton and wife Jennifer; sisters, Ruby, Francis, Betty Jo, Mary; brother, Tom Charlton; grandchildren, Joshua Charlton, Fionula Charlton, Gage Morrison, Briana Johnson.


Visitation will be Wednesday from 9-7pm.
