She was born on October 22, 1946 in South Gate, California to Nora Ruth (Radford) Johnson and Albert Cleveland Johnson and passed away on April 23, 2022 in Poteau, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Howard Pyle; sons, Jennings Pyle and Howard Pyle Jr., daughter Retta Williams, sister Wanda Allen, and a brother James Robison.
Survivors include: a sister Nancy Olson; granddaughters, Tianny and Greg Miller, Jada Williams, Hannah Williams, Michele Pyle; grandsons Damian Williams, and Dustin Williams and 9 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Tony Gokool, Edmond Stephens, Jon Olson Jr., Patrick Nelson, and Tony Couch.
The family has chosen to entrust the care of the services to Evans & Miller Funeral Home, Poteau, OK

I worked with Janet for many years. First in Charleston, WV and later we transferred to Orlando,FL. She and Howard became our second family and were always there for us. We spent so much time together,lived nearby, went to exercise class, church, Disney,had meals together and just hung out. I recall when I went to work in Florida, I walked into this huge room of about 300 people sitting around the room and a couple of men standing in the middle. I knew absolutely no one. Janet got up from one of those chairs and came over and gave me a hug. She was that kind of person....see a need and stand in the gap. She will be missed by anyone who ever knew her.
