Marion Lee Barkley, 68, of Shady Point, OK passed away Friday, December 3, 2021. Marion was born September 16, 1953 in Bokoshe, OK to Boise Lee & Floy Mae (Phillips) Barkley. Marion attended Jesus Name Assembly in Panama with Pastor Harold Thompson.He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers in law, Derrel Nelson, Charles Sexton; mother & father in law, Cecil & Leona Coleman.
Survivors include his wife, Viola; sisters, Ruby Nelson of Wister, OK, Barsia Akers & husband Glenn of Mounds, OK; special granddaughter, Rachel Dienhart; nieces & nephews, Chelsea Kardokus, Rowdy Smith, Summer Smith, Luke Peros, April Hartman, Houston Baldwin, Justin Akers, Jessica Akers, Colton Akers, Gary & Patricia Akers, Braden Smith, Dillon Baldwin, Angie Sexton & Colby, Crystal Peros & husband Nick, Jeanie Hartman & husband Skylar, Terri Smith, Glenda Morrell & husband Jimmy, Mark Akers & wife Julie, Michael, McKenna & Alayna Akers, Max DuBuc & Katy Morrell ; other relatives, loved ones and friends.
Services will be 2 pm, Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, OK with Jim Cook officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8 pm.
