Betty Evelyn Hilbern, 87, of Spiro, OK went home to the Lord on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 in Spiro. Betty was born September 17, 1934 to Fred William & Clara Bell (Janes) White. Betty loved life and enjoyed her family immensely. She was a great cook that never followed a recipe; everything was from scratch and by taste. She was always joking around and making others laugh. Her family will miss her terribly but cherish the memories with her. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George Hilbern; 3 brothers & a sister; granddaughter, Candice Hassell and companion, Lenord Bond.
She is survived by her son Larry Hilbern & wife Rita of Van Buren, AR; daughters Brenda Hassell & husband Mark of Spiro, Rada Dotson & husband Joe of Panama, OK, Sheila Pulice & husband John of Shady Point, OK; stepdaughter, Janice Bond of Tulsa; 11 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; numerous great great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be 2 pm, Friday, December 3, 2021 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, OK with Jim Cook officiating. Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery, Spiro. Pallbearers will be Joe Dotson, Mark Hassell, John Pulice, David Hassell, Chris Dotson and Luigi Pulice.
