Brenda Kaye Jones, 67, of Howe, OK passed away Monday, December 6, 2021 in Howe. Brenda was born February 18, 1954 in Ventura, CA to Bill & Elsie Marie (Pendergrass) Byrd. Brenda attended church Mt. View Baptist. She loved spending time with her family, kids and grandkids. Her hobbies were gardening, board games and playing cards; she loved to travel to see the leaves change in the fall. Brenda was a waitress all her life after working at Whirlpool in her early years. She was known as the family Angel for always taking care of others. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Billy, Charles (Hayden) James (Larry) & Bobby Byrd; sister, Norma Broughton.
Survivors include her husband, Donnie; daughter & son in law, Kelly & Chad Dyer of Panama, OK; sons & daughters in law, Charles “CJ” & Renae Burks of Shady Point, OK, James & Jessica Burks of Panama, OK; grandchildren, Jammy, Lenzie & Fiance Sam, Brook, Justin, Schandon, Derreck, Ethan, Alexis, Karson, and Bo; great grandchildren, Raelynn & Kenzli Pappillion; sister, Linda Clark of Anonna, TX; other relatives, loved ones and friends.
Services will be 2 pm, Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2021 at Mountain View Baptist Church, Wister. Burial will follow at West Gate Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Justin, Karson & Derreck Burks, Schandon Dyer, Ethan Burks and Sam Pappillion. Honorary pallbearers will be Bo Burks, Eddie Blackwell and Aaron Jackson.
The family would like to thank Heather Phipps of Home Health, Jae Alikor, Monica Meja, Jody Edgington, and Scott Martin of Heart of Hospice.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
