Nancy Sue Alvis Franklin, 80, of Wister, OK passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2021 in Ft. Smith, AR. Nancy was born February 5, 1941 in Tulare, CA to Buel Wesley & Amy (Green) Alvis. Nancy was the youngest daughter of 10 children; the first child to be born in the hospital. She had a unique, special relationship with all of her siblings. She set an example for us a strong family bond and love for family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Robert Glennaire Franklin; brothers, Leland, Gilbert, Duane & Keith Alvis; sisters, Lucille Hearn, Eula Merrell, Naomi Alvis & Marilyn Gray.
Survivors include her daughters, & sons in law, Karen Brashear, Lori & Jim Ryan, Amy & Jim Wisdom; sister, Juanita DePriest; sisters in law, Kathryn Heuston & Eula Franklin; grandchildren, Phillip & Robert Brashear, Kelsey & Wesley Bertrand, Devynn & Eric Polivka, Eric Ryan, Wade & Wesley Wisdom; great grandchildren, Lorynn & Delaney Bertrand, Ryan Polivka; numerous nieces and nephews she held close to her heart.
Graveside services will be 10 am, Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Ellis Chapel Cemetery, Wister, OK. Pallbearers will be Robert & Phillip Brashear, Eric Ryan, Wade & Wesley Wisdom, Eric Polivka, Wesley Bertrand.
