Janice was born Sunday, December 2, 1962 in Stockton, CA to Clifford Melton & Lilace Elaine (Sampson) Midgley. She was a cook at Wister Public Schools. Janice was preceded in death by her paternal grandpa, Charley Midgley; maternal grandparents, O.C. & Mildred Sampson; & best friend, Cheryl Johnson Seagraves.
Survivors include her daughters, Sherauna Burleson of Wister, OK, Tiffanee Couch Horn & husband, Jared of Wister, OK; grandchildren, Aiyden Horn & Abee Jo Horn; sister & brother in law, Sherry & Eddie Wemmerus of Wister, OK; brothers & sisters-in-law, George & Paula Midgley of Poteau, OK, Lance & Melissa Midgley of Talihina, OK; 8 Nephews; 6 Nieces; Ex-Husband, Tommy Couch of Heavener, OK; life long friend, Nancy Ward Tomblinson of Wister, OK; special aunt, Murlene Sanders of Poteau, OK; grandmother, Dorothy Midgley of Wister, OK; parents, Cliff & Elaine Midgley of Wister, OK; other relatives & loved ones; many beloved friends.
Services will be 2 pm, Thursday, February 23, 2012 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, OK with Rev. PJ Atkinson & Rev. Larry Strouse officiating. Interment will follow in Ellis Chapel Cemetery, Wister, OK. Pallbearers will be Devon Midgley, Jesse Rice, Jake Gandee, Stephen Wemmerus, Chad Jackson, Chris Rice. Honorary pallbearers will be Corey Hill & Chris Midgley.
