Evelyn Minor

          Evelyn (Hale) Minor was born November 22, 1926, to James and Molly (Poteet) Hale.  She stepped into Glory surrounded by her family on March 6, 2021.

          Evelyn married the love of her life, James Minor, and together had six children which began a legacy of love and laughter. She was an avid gardener, seamstress and loved raising kids. She wore many hats in many jobs, but her favorite titles were Momma and Mema.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; four brothers Kenneth, Haskell, Lloyd and Garvin (Mousie) Hale, and two sisters Marie Real and Imogene Harris & baby Bernice Hale. She was also preceded by two daughters and sons in law, Janice and Johnny Thompson, Diana and George Holstien; a son and daughter in law, Ronnie and Kathy Minor.

          Her legacy lives on in those who survive her, her daughters and sons in law, Sharon and Harlon Easton, Donna and Trevor Sutcliffe; her son and daughter in law, Danny and Susan Minor; Thirteen grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren; brothers, Cotton Hale & Carl Hale;  As well as her special friend Curtis Morris.

Services will be held on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at 2 pm at Southside Baptist Church with Damon, Devon & Jeremy Minor officiating. 

            Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Panama, OK.  Her grandsons and great grandsons will be the pallbearers.  Open viewing will be held Tuesday until 8 pm.
