Ernest D. "Sonny" Duncan, 77, of Bokoshe, OK
passed away Sunday, January 21, 2018, in Ft. Smith, AR. Ernest was born October 14, 1940 in Spiro, OK
to Ernest A Duncan. & Ova Lee (Smith) Arrasmith. He was a retired teacher
from Shady Point School; he also taught at Panama. Ernest loved his garden and feeding his
birds. He was preceded in death by his
parents & his grandmother, Nina Duncan.
Survivors include his wife
of 58 years, Delores; children, Lance
& Melane Duncan, Dana Brooks, Lori Duncan, Lana & Rob Ellis; 7
grandchildren, Zack Foster, Candence Adams, Eric & Chance Duncan, Gentry &
Addison Ellis, Trace Brooks; great grandson, Braxton Ellis; other relatives,
loved ones and friends.
Services will be 2 pm,
Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, OK. Interment
will be in Shady Point Cemetery, Shady Point, OK. Pallbearers
will be Tommy DeWitt, Mike
Pierce, Eric Duncan, Trace Brooks, Zackary Foster & Lloyd Hale.
The family will be at the
funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6-8
pm to visit with relatives & friends.
