Wanda White



            Wanda L. White, 78, of  Reichert, OK passed away Sunday, March 5, 2017 in Ft. Smith, AR.  Wanda was born May 11, 1938 in LeFlore, OK to Jack & Florence (Wagner) Ward.  She graduated from LeFlore High School in 1955 and retired after many years as a secretary for the OSU Extension Center.  She was a member of the Reichert Quilting Club and also the Pilgrim's Rest Baptist Church.  Wanda considered it an honor to be a servant of Jesus Christ.      Her children, grandchildren & great grandchildren were the light of her life. She loved to cook and could cook anything.  Her passions were quilting and gardening.  She just kept working even while her health was failing.     She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jimmy Jack Ward & sister, Dorothy Ward Howard.


           Survivors include her husband & companion, Robert O. White of Reichert, OK; daughter, Kim Robertson & husband Tommy of Poteau, OK; sons, Jimmy Don White & wife Carolyn  of Reichert, OK, Mitchell White of Reichert, friend & companion, Teresa Johnson of  Poteau; grandchildren, Kellie Christenberry & husband JohnRoss,  Lane Robertson of  Poteau, Joshua White & wife Kelsey of Conser, OK, Megan Ramsey & husband Cody of Poteau; great grandchildren, Joshlyn & Rhett White of Conser, OK,  Josie Ramsey of Poteau; 2 sisters, Sue McAlester & husband Jerry of Knot Hole, OK, Waltreata Anderson of Summerfield; sister in law, Bobbie Ward of Ft. Smith, AR; aunts, Opal Kitchens of N. Little Rock, AR, Joann & Bud Weaver of Ft. Worth, TX; other relatives, loved ones and friends.

              Services will be 10 am, Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, OK with Jerry Turner officiating.  Interment will follow in Reichert Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Cody Ramsey, Joshua White, Lane Robertson, JohnRoss Christenberry, Monte Anderson & Mark Ward.

          The family will be at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6-8 pm to visit with relatives & friends.

R.O., Jimmy Don, Mitchell & Kim. I am so sorry to hear about Wanda! Some of my favorite memories are of all of you. You are all in my prayers.
