Lovia Woods Gilliam, 91, of
Bokoshe, OK passed away Friday, August 12, 2016 in Pocola, OK. Lovia was born September 25,1924 in Stoney
Point, OK to Charlie & Rose Lee (Harper) Woods. She was a school cafeteria cook. Lovia
was a loving mother and grandmother. She
was known by everybody as "Granny".
Lovia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Guy; brothers
Ed, Edgar, Harley & Earl.
Survivors include her
daughters, Betty Hemby of Heavener, OK, Janice England and her daughter Faith of the home; sons,
Jerry Gilliam of Howe, OK, Gerald Gilliam of Poteau, OK; 4 grandchildren, Sami
Jo, Kelsey, Kyle & Faith; 14 great
grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; sister, Ola & Jim Wooten of
Spiro, OK; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives & loved ones.
Services will be 2 pm,
Tuesday, August 16, 2016 graveside at
New Hope Cemetery, Spiro, OK with Jim Cook officiating.
The family will be at the
chapel in Pocola on Monday evening from 6-8 pm to visit with relatives &
friends.
