James "Lucian"
Gassaway Jr., 64, of Poteau, OK passed away
Saturday, April 30, 2016 in Bedford, TX.
Lucian was born January 1, 1952 to James Lucian Sr. & Patsy Nell
(Raines) Gassaway. He worked many years
in the coal mines and pipelines. He loved life and his family and
friends. He really enjoyed feeding birds
and watching them in the mornings. He
enjoyed getting to sit on the porch and visit with friends and family. He was very hard working; loved helping his
dad work and feed cattle. He did many
jobs on his dad's ranch. He lived
briefly in Ft. Worth, TX. He was
preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Michelle Diane LaRosa.
Survivors include his
daughters & sons in law, Hope &
John Schrader of Bedford, TX, P.J. & Jeremy Sharp of Alma, AR, Jennifer
Baxter of Ft. Smith, AR; grandchildren, Blakely, Hayley, Sam and Bentley; his
partner, Anna "Petie" Earley; other relatives, loved ones and
friends.
Memorial services will
be 2 pm, Saturday, May 14, 2016 at
Oakland Cemetery Pavilion, Poteau, OK with Jim Cook officiating.
