Audra M. "Lady
Bug" Ledford, 83, of Poteau, OK passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2016 in Ft.
Smith, AR. Audra was born March 5, 1933
in Rock Island, OK to John & Minnie (O'Neal) Brown. She worked in Home Healthcare and she was a
Minister of the Gospel. She sewed a lot
of seeds for the kingdom of God. Audra loved to sew. She loved the Lord and would go to church every
night if she could. She loved her family
- which included everyone she met. She would do anything for anyone no matter
how much or how far. She and Mitchell
were married November 10, 1951 and she was the best lady he has ever
known. Audra was preceded in death by
her parents; son, John Ledford; daughters, Paula Ledford & Peggy Tyler; granddaughter, Audra Joyce Grace; brothers,
Charlie, Hubert, Nealy, Eun, Leonard & Johnny Brown.
Survivors include her
husband of 64 years, Mitchell Ledford of the home; daughters, Jowanda (William)
Grace, Gridley, IL, Jennifer Waggoner,
Tulsa, OK;
grandchildren, John (Aliceia) Grace, Tulsa, Joshua Grace, Streator,
IL, Haley Grace, Round Rock, TX, Tresten (Brandy) Ledford, Poteau, OK, Katelyn Waggoner, Tulsa; 7 great grandchildren; brothers, Orville
Brown, Ft. Smith, AR, Paul Brown, Congerville, IL; twin sister, Edra (Guy)Taylor,
Rock Island, OK; other relatives, loved ones, friends.
Services will be 10 am,
Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Shepherd's Heart Church, Poteau, OK with Rev. Clyde
Hess officiating. Interment will follow
in New Hope Cemetery, Spiro, OK.
Pallbearers will be John Grace, Joshua Grace, Testen Ledford, Keith
Ledford, Jim Brown, Justin Ward.
Honorary pallbearer will be Ollie Lagrand.
The family will be at the
funeral home on Friday evening from 6-8 pm to visit with relatives &
friends.
