Nerrissia Skinner, 85, of Shady
Point, OK passed away Saturday,
March 8, 2014 in Ft. Smith,
AR. Nerrissia was born April 16, 1928 in Monroe, OK
to Leon & Jesker (Hayes) Thompson.
She was a bank teller at Central National Bank. She was preceded in death by her parents;
husband, A.V. Skinner Sr.; brothers, Kenneth, Bob & Raiford Thompson.
Survivors include her sons,
A.V. Skinner Jr. & wife Emma of Poteau, OK; Bradley Skinner of Ft.
Smith, AR; granddaughters, Kristina Skinner of Poteau, OK, Candace Randall
& Broc of Tulsa, OK, Tammy Ingle & Mike of Douglass, KS; 2 great
grandsons, Matthew Skinner & Ben Randall;
2 Great Granddaughters, Amanda Banister & Dr. Logan Banister,
Allison Ludwig & Matt; Great Great Grandsons, Noah Banister & Elijah
Ludwig; numerous nieces, nephews,
friends and loved ones.
Services will be 2 pm
Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau, OK
with Rev. Jim Cook officiating.
Interment will follow in Monroe
Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert Thompson, Mark
Henry, John Gaston, Charlie McCroskey, Broc Randall, & Scotty Free. Honorary pallbearers will be Don Chesser,
Matthew Skinner, & Ferrell Butler.
Donations may be made to
the Baptist Children’s Home or Gideon’s Int’l.
