Opal May Allison



Opal May Allison, 84, of Poteau, OK passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2013 in Poteau.  Opal was born March 8, 1928 in LeFlore, OK to Bert & Eller (Hindricks) Robison.  She was a member of the United Pentecostal Church.  Opal was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, James Thomas Ferguson and Joe Allison; brothers, James Everett, Johnny & Bill Robison; sister, Mary Stephens; daughter, Flossie Mae Ridner; and great grandson, Greyson Hunt.

Survivors include her daughters & sons in law, Freda & Shad Pyland & Wilma Jo & Paul Barton of Poteau; son & daughter in law, Charles & Lynda Ferguson of Poteau; grandchildren, Doug Ridner, Randy Ridner, Kim Allen, Kelly Hunt, Chuck Ivey, Sarah Coffelt, Chad Barton, Rhonda Walters, Cathy Jo Ferguson, Thomas Ferguson, Aaron Ferguson; 23 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; sister, Ora Burns of Wister, OK; other relatives & loved ones; many beloved friends.

Services will be 10 am, Saturday, January 26, 2013, at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, OK with Rev. Brian McLaughlin & Rev. James Myers officiating.  Interment will follow in LeFlore Cemetery, LeFlore, OK.  Pallbearers will be Chad Barton, Doug Ridner, Tim Coffelt, Michael Hunt, Shad Pyland, & Clayton Hunt.
