Beatrice Morgan "Bea" Loughridge

Beatrice Morgan Loughridge, 89, of Oklahoma City, OK (formerly of Wister, OK) went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, April 19th, 2012 at Mercy Hospital. Bea was born on December 2nd, 1922 to John Dennis and Nora Bell Morgan. Bea was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Poteau, OK where she had lived with her husband for 28 years. Bea was a retired elementary school teacher and librarian. She enjoyed playing the piano, particularly for church services, as well as gardening, sewing, and cooking. As the wife of a Nazarene pastor, she loved working in the church, visiting church members and friends, and helping those in need. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bill Loughridge, and sister, Lucille Branscum. Bea is survived by her sister, Sue Grooms; two sons and daughter-in-laws, Larry and Midge Loughridge and Steve and Vickie Loughridge; four grandchildren, Ryan, Robyn, Brannon, and Lauren; three great-grandchildren, Emily, Brody, and Bryce; and numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and loved ones; and a host of beloved friends and church family. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 24th, 2012 at the First Church of the Nazarene in Poteau, Ok at 2:00 p.m. Reverend Wayne and Eddie Stark will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Ellis Chapel Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Evans and Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, OK. Pallbearers are Gene Branscum, Maurice Branscum, Hugh Branscum, Brannon Loughridge, Ryan Loughridge, and Michael Ross. The family will be at the funeral home on Monday evening from 7-9 pm to visit with relatives & friends.
