I love you Aunt Lorene. I shall remember
your sweet smile and the sparkle in your blue
eyes; your ability to recite long poems and
scriptures (amazing); how cute you were
telling silly jokes making us all laugh;
how you looked forward to your garden
each spring; your inner strengths and
courage to raise 6 beautiful kids -
what a tribute they are to your Godly
faith, values and mother's love; how you
were always praising Jesus in your heart and
with your lips; how you embraced each
of us with your love. You will be missed
tremendously but the best of you lives on in
your kids and those of us blessed by your presence.
I can image there was quite the homecoming
when you arrived in heaven! Hallelujah!
Loving you in my heart, Bobbie

I will miss Grandma greatly but I know the instant she left this world she was in the presence of the Lord. She was truly a Proverbs 31 woman & she found something good in everyone. I also remember her saying "Now Inez" when Hazel had said or done something she didn't think was right. She was an amazing prayer warrior & she gave love freely to anyone that crossed her path. There will never be a woman as great as her but she would say that we should try our best and depend on God to help us. Love, Pattie

I love and miss you Great Grandma!! My fondest memories were picking apples to make pies and okra for fried okra and helping with yard sales. You were a great cook and had the sweetest heart of anyone i've ever known! I am so happy you got to meet your great great grandaughter. I regret that you didn't get to meet Christopher Jr., but I know that you are looking down from heaven and smiling, because you can see all of us. You have such an amazing spirit and I so happy that you were able to fly away. Just like the hymn in church said you would!

Some glad morning when this life is o'er,
I'll fly away;
To a home on God's celestial shore,
I'll fly away (I'll fly away).

Chorus
I'll fly away, Oh Glory
I'll fly away; (in the morning)
When I die, Hallelujah, by and by,
I'll fly away (I'll fly away).

Love, Christopher

Grandma's voice has been my moral compass my whole life. She was the sweetest and most loving person I ever knew. Her gentle spirit taught me so much about life and what it means to be a godly woman. I thank God for placing her in my life to teach me the right way to live. I will miss her and I look forward to that day when I will see her again.

Lorene, I have never met you, but I feel like I know you. You are the Mother of my best friend Glo. I think she has some of your wonderful attributes. She has talked about you so much and what a wonderful Godley woman you were. I'm sad that I never got to meet you, but one day I will and we can really get acquainted then. Until Heaven..............

I remember the last thing you said to me before you left the world. You told me to come closer and you patred my face and said, "You're very pretty."

It touched my heart. I remember when we came over every Christmas eve to see you. I remember every time we came to visit you, you bragged on how big we had gotten and how beautiful we looked. I remember you smiling all the time. Sitting in your chair smiling. I love you. You will always be in my heart.

-Elleah your great grand daughter

Lorene has joined that "great cloud of witnesses" in heaven encouraging us that we CAN make it. In this life, her faithfulness to God was a constant reminder and encouragement to all who knew & loved her that we too CAN run & win the race. What an awesome hertiage!
