Funeral Service for Redonia Kaye Bowers, 61 of Poteau, Oklahoma will be at 2 pm on Monday, February 14, 2022 at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau with Bill Sanders officiating. Burial will follow at Reichert Cemetery in Reichert under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home
Dodie was born on July 22, 1960 in Compton, CA to Geraldine Harris James and Leslie Roy James and passed away on February 8, 2022 at her home in Poteau, Oklahoma. She previously ventured out as an over-the-road truck driver where she met her everlasting love, Dennis. Since then she has been employed with KiBois. She enjoyed driving for KATS, which she did for many years. She will be dearly missed. Dodie is preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Regina Gayle; and brother,Gerald Leslie James.
Survivors are: her beloved husband, Dennis Bowers; sister, Marcia James & Jayson Dailey; brother, Garry & wife Shelly James; nieces, Carmen Futch, Raeanna & Robert Shoat, Leona & Dustin Ward, Leslie & Daniel Clark, Valerie James & Dustin Gomez, Vanessa James & Raymond Eidinger; nephews, Frank Johnson & Rhonda Cauthen, Anthony James, and Zachary James; numerous great nieces and nephews; as well as many extended family members, loved ones and friends.
Pallbearers will be Tre Shoat, Braeden Johnson, Brad Montgomery, Donavan Morris, Dennis James, RoyBo Gullick.
Visitation Sunday 6-8 pm .
