Dorothy Pearl Johnson-Page

 

Dorothy Pearl Johnson-Page passed away at the age of 86 on October 30, 2021 in Fort Smith, Arkansas.  Dorothy was born July 28, 1935 in Peoria, Oklahoma.  She was retired from Poteau Public Schools Superintendents Office where she was a bookkeeper from 1982-1995.  Prior to that she worked for numerous federal government agencies while moving around as an Air Force wife.  She was a member of the Calvary Assembly of God Church in Poteau.  She was a loving mother and grandmother.  She enjoyed her family more than anything else in life.  She also loved her church family, playing the piano for church, singing gospel music, sewing, quilting, travel, camping with family and researching family history.

Dorothy is survived by two daughters and son-in-law Diana and Bruce Grindstaff, Poteau and Donna Lofthouse, Woodland, CA; two grandsons Joshua and Douglas Lofthouse; three great-grandchildren  Jade, Cobain and Eli Lofthouse.

Three stepsons and one step daughter and their families: Leon, Curtis and Forrest Page, and Louella Vines.  Brothers-in-law:   Ed, Boyce and Russell Page and sisters-in-law:  Rosemary Page, Willena Ferguson, Murrell Moore and their families.  Special niece and nephews and their families: Margaret Davis, Charles, Steven, and Edward Tedrow and their families.  Many more beloved friends and family.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her father and mother Orr Wiley and Cena Bell Miller Doop; her husband of 38 years Kenneth Eugene Johnson, her husband of six years Leonard O. Page, three grandsons Christopher Grindstaff, Christian and Kenneth Lofthouse; son-in-law William Lofthouse (Wilma Rose),  her father and mother-in-law Clarence James and Virgie Alene Whittle Johnson;  five sisters:  Faye Doop, Hattie Tedrow, Mary Smith, Lillie Craig and Baby Cena Doop; seven brothers:  Willis, Virgil, Lewis, Zell, Joe, Delmar, Calvin, and George Doop, brothers-in-law: Darrel, Don, and Robert Johnson and sisters-in-law Louise Page Johnson & Lillian Johnson.

Dorothy was blessed in this journey by her special helpers from Peachtree Assisted Living, Mercy Village Retirement Center, and Mercy Hospice.

Funeral service will be Saturday, November 6, at 10 am at Evans Miller Funeral Home.  Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Poteau.  go to link below to view video
