After college Grady served two years active duty in the United States Army, where he became a first lieutenant and received a Bronze Star. He was an avid hunter and fisherman relishing the deer camp set up by the Garner clan for 55 years at Panther Creek, and his 30 years hunting elk in Colorado. He was preceded in death by his parents, Zelman and Dartha Garner.

Grief never ends, but it changes. It's a passage, not a place to stay. Grief is not a sign of weakness, nor a lack of faith. It is the price of LOVE.
A Memorial Service to celebrate and honor his life will be held in the spring by Evans and Miller Funeral Home in Poteau, OK.
Memorial contributions may be made to Boy Scout Troop 30, sponsored by Poteau United Methodist Church, 109 S Harper St., Poteau, OK. 74953
