Billy Loyd Hammers, 74, of
Poteau, OK, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2020, in Houston, TX. Bill was born October 23, 1945, in Buck Creek, OK, to Loyd Leon & Wilma Lorene
(Wynn) Hammers. He was a regional
manager for Dana Corp. Bill was preceded
in death by his parents; a son, Jason Hammers & sister, Evelyn Irene Hammers.
Bill is survived by his
wife of 54 years, Carolyn; his children, Shannon Hammers, Steven Hammers and wife Sherryl, Brooke Collins and
husband Denver; grandchildren, Tori Smith, Tyler Hammers, Taylor Hammers, Ashbi Hammers, Macey Cripps, Madison Cox,
Michael Hammers, Memphis Rein Collins, Caleb Riddles, Jordan Riddles, Chandler
Riddles; great grandchildren, Kaisdon, Easton, Jayke, Jensen, Hudson & Jade; sister, Jerry Herbert & husband Joe; brother, Buck Hammers;
other relatives, loved ones and friends.
Services will be at 2 pm,
Saturday, January 25, 2020, at the Donald Reynolds Community Center, Poteau,
with Jim Waldrop officiating. Interment
will follow at Oakland Cemetery, Poteau.

Sorry to hear that Billy has passed on to a better place. I have known Billy since the early 1960’s. He was a great and funny guy. He will be missed.
Not only a great great friend but a great man. My thoughts and prayers are with the Hammers family!! I am privileged to show my respect as a pallbearer!!! RIP Brother!!!
