Danny Getz

Danny Raymond Getz, 64, was born in Poteau, Ok on
January 11, 1955. He passed away Saturday, November
2, 2019, in Poteau. He was preceded in death by his
mother, Patsy Bottoms, and stepfather Wayne Bottoms;
grandmother, Ada Jones; two brothers, Jimmy (Oscar) and
Terry Getz; nephew, Scott Stanley; uncles Pally Qualls,
Pete, John, and Bob Jones; and cousin Garon Mead.
Survivors include the love of his life and best friend, Carla
Jackson; daughters, Crissie Gail Krigbaum of Pocola, OK.,
Danielle Nelson of Russellville, AR, and Raelynn Ellis and
husband Logan of Poteau; children Ashtyn, Jossalyn,
Haley and Jackson Getz and their mother, Celeste
Krinard, all of Tulsa, Ok.; 5 grandchildren and 1 great
granddaughter; sisters, Susan Fox and husband Gerald of
Shady Point and Dana Kay House and husband Edward
of Poteau; brother Paul (Jr) Getz and his wife Maryann of
Fort Smith; aunts and uncles Debbie and Tommy Mead of
Hodgen, OK., Tommy (Spider) and Judy Jones of Poteau,
and Gary (Frog) Jones of Poteau; his longtime buddy
“Lucy the parrot”, and numerous other relatives and
friends.
Services will be held at 10am on Thursday, November 7,
2019 at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau, Ok. with
Rev. Jim Cook officiating. Interment will be at Oakland
Cemetery, Poteau. Pallbearers will be George Morton,
Mike Jones, Logan Ellis, Jerald Fox, J.D. Cook and Paul
Getz.
