Scott
Saling, 54, of Spiro, OK passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2017 in Tulsa,
OK. Scott was born August 15, 1963 in
Boron, CA to William & Ava (Watt) Saling.
He was a heavy equipment operator, construction worker & mason. He was preceded in death by his father,
William Saling; brother, Bill Saling; grandparents, Cecil & Ruby Watt,
Leonard Sr. & Leota Hill; nephew, David Payton.
Scott
is survived by his daughter, Allyn Saling of Maryland; parents, Ava &
Leonard Hill of Panama, OK; sisters, Gina & Rod Birckel of Porum, OK, Gaye
& Shawn McGuinness of Georgia; brother, Shane Saling of Spiro, OK; nephews,
Justin & Erika Hendren of Topeka, KS, Austin & Tara Kennedy of Georgia;
nieces, Melissa Upton of Panama, OK, Nicole Cinadr of Tulsa, OK; one special
uncle, Richard Watt of Bristow, OK; numerous aunts & uncles; 4 great
nephews and 4 great nieces.
Services
will be 2 pm, Saturday, August 19, 2017
at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, OK with Jim Cook officiating. Interment will follow in Council Hill
Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mark
Lingenfelter, Melissa Upton, Justin Hendren, Chad Eaton, Rod Birckel, Matt
Birckel. Honorary pallbearers will be
Shane Saling, Louis Emery, Joey Decker & Harvey Painter.
The
family will be at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6-8 pm to visit with
relatives & friends.
