“J.B.” Joe Boyd Hayes, 89, of Pocola, OK passed away Sunday, March 18, 2012 in Pocola, OK. J.B. was born August 17, 1922 in McCurtain, OK to Joe Abe & Bertha Mae (Lowe) Hayes. He was a retired forklift operator for Riverside. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Van Buren, AR. Survivors include his wife, Audrey of the home; sons, Jerry Hayes of Ft. Smith, AR, Ronald & Lora Hayes of Pocola, OK, Richard & Cheri Hayes of Gravette, AR; 8 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; sister, Annie Osborne of Vinita, OK; brother, Hershel Hayes of Spiro, OK; other relatives & loved ones; many beloved friends. Services will be 10 AM, Thursday, March 22, 2012 in Evans Memorial Chapel, Pocola, with Rev. Robert Hill & Rev. Bobby Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Spiro City Cemetery – Garden of Memories, Spiro, OK. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Walters, Terry Ryan Springwater, Jordan Springwater, Larry Hall, Loren Chadwick, Lonnie Harris, Jimmy David Brown. The family will be at the funeral home in Pocola Tuesday, 6-8 pm to visit with relatives & friends.
