Hazel Lee Jenkins, 89, of Poteau, OK passed away Thursday, March 22, 2012 in Poteau. Hazel was born in McCurtain, OK on August 27, 1922 to Charles Benjamin & Lorena Bell (Crabtree) Barkley. She was a homemaker. Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, L. Howard Jenkins “Jr”; daughters, Brenda D. Thompson & Ola Dean Webb; son, Kenneth D. Rogers; sister, Vivian Poe and brothers, Marvin Barkley & Othel Barkley.
Survivors include 3 sons & their wives, Bob & Nelda Rogers of Carlsbad, NM, Charles H. & Wanda Rogers of Oilton, OK, Tommy & Kim Jenkins of Poteau, OK; daughter, Etta Jane Johnson of Tulsa, OK; brother, Harold Barkley; numerous nieces & nephews; many grandchildren, great and great great grandchildren.
Services will be 10 am, Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, OK with Rev. Jim Cook officiating. Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Poteau, OK. Pallbearers will be Jerry Dale Rogers, Charles Wayne Rogers, Brent Jenkins, Jeremy McBride, Jim Goude, & Billy Crandell.
