William Henry “Bill” Daniels Jr., 71, of Panama, OK passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2011 in Poteau, OK. Bill was born August 18, 1940 in Greenville, NC to William H. Sr. & Bertha May (Ayers) Daniels. He ran a wrecker service. He was a veteran of the US Army. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers, 2 sisters, & daughter, Vickie Daniels McMurtry.
Survivors include his wife, Jean of the home; 2 sons, Christopher Keith Daniels & wife, Kimberly of Shady Point, OK, Mathew Dylan Daniels of Panama, OK; daughter, Jennifer Lynn Martin of Panama, OK; 14 grandchildren, Jonathan Paul McMurtry, Angel Nicole McMurtry, Kristin Marie Culpepper, Christopher Mogensen, Suzette Burkholder, Melissa Neighbors, Katlyn Burkholder, Marc Burkholder, Corey Boyce, Christopher Boyce, Quentin Boyce, Austin Tyler Hubble, Hayden Hubble, Jakob Martin; 8 great grandchildren; sister, Joyce Marie White & husband, Jimmy of Hagerstown, Maryland; brother, James Robert Allen of Marion, VA; other relatives & loved ones; many beloved friends.
Services will be 11 am, Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, OK with Rev. Jim Cook officiating. Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Poteau. Pallbearers will be J.P McMurtry, Jared Girad, Harold Duncan, Larry Hamby, Marc Burkholder, & Robert Mitchell.
The family will be at the funeral home on Monday evening from 7-9 pm to visit with relatives & friends.
