Kevin Stephens

Kevin Stephens, 45, of Cameron, Oklahoma, passed from this life on September 1, 2022, after a difficult battle with brain cancer.  Kevin was a beloved father and friend to many.

Kevin was born on May 10th, 1977, to Delbert Stephens and Johnnie (White) Stephens in Midwest City, OK. They later moved to Florida, then Georgia, and then eventually Boron, CA. Kevin graduated from Boron Highschool in 1995. After high school, Kevin became an emergency medical technician. He enlisted into the United States Marine Corps in 2000, where he was a heavy equipment operator for four years.

After his time in the military, Kevin graduated from Northeastern State University in 2009, with a Bachelor's degree in Social Studies. After graduation, he went on to teach at Cameron Schools.

In 2005 he met Sunshine Sheffield, they wed in 2007 and went on to have a single child together, Lela Stephens. They later Divorced in 2011.

In 2011, at the age of 34, Kevin retired due to a brain tumor. In his free time, Kevin continued to coach the local softball team, “The Nightmares”. He then went on to promote music festivals where he made many great friends.

Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, Delbert and Johnnie. He is survived by his daughter, Lela, his sister, Gina, and her husband, Scott Premo, his two nieces, Jessie and Riley, and several cousins.

Services will be held at 10am on Friday, September 16th, 2022 at Evans and Miller Funeral Home.
