Susan England



Susan Helen Eader England, 80, of Shady Point, OK passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2017 in Shady Point.  Susan was born March 24, 1937 in Mt. Pleasant, MD to Lewis & Edna Eader.  Susan attended Frostburg St. Teacher College in Maryland.  She taught first grade at East Frederick elementary school where she was active in PTA and Little League Baseball; Frederick County Farm Bureau Women's Committee; and she taught Sunday School at Mt. Carmel Methodist Church; as well as being a 4H leader.  After moving to Oklahoma she received her Masters/Reading Specialist Certification at NSU; taught for 25 years at Panama Elementary.  She was Teacher of the Year twice and Who's Who in Teaching three times.  Susan was president of the Shady Point PTA, OEA representative, and active member of the Beta Lambda Chapter of DKG where she was past secretary.  She was president of the LeFlore County Reading Council; a Cavanal Gem's Red Hatter; and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Poteau where she enjoyed Senior Cafe.  Susan was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Wallace, Blaine, Granison, Clifford and Bernie; sisters, Pearl, Pauline, Shirley and Lillian Burris; beloved son, Robert Blaine England.

          Survivors include her husband, Charles Clifford England Sr.; son & daughter in law, Charles Jr. & Lisa England; daughter & son in law, Becky & Ronnie Bell; grandchildren, Courtney & Brian Arnall, Brandon & Rachel England, Cliff & Gerianna England, Ryan & Ashley England, Bobby Lee England, Ronna Bell & fiance Colt Dunigan, Faith England; great grandchildren, Brayden, Audrey, Sarah Anne, Jase, Cambri, Cooper, Chad, Colton; brother & wife, Robert & Barbara Eader;  sister in law, Donna Eader; other relatives, loved ones and many beloved friends.

          Services will be  at 2 pm, Friday, June 9, 2017  at First United Methodist Church, Poteau with Rev. Jim Perkin & Rev. Jim Cook  officiating.    The  family will be at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6-8 pm to visit with relatives & friends.  Pallbearers will be Brandon England, Cliff England, Ryan England, Ronnie Bell, Brian Arnall and Colt Dunigan. Donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church, Poteau.
