Margaret "Peggy" Storer



Wife, Mother Oma, Sister, Friend
Margaret "Peggy" Storer, 61, of Shady Point, OK received her wings on June 25, 2017 while in her home surrounded by loved ones.  Peggy was born May 1, 1956 in Alliance, NE to Paul & Barbara (Bader) Guthmann. Peggy worked for EOMC as an X-Ray Technician and Mammographer.  She impacted many lives during her near two decades of service to the community.  She attended Immaculate Conception Church in Poteau, OK where she flourished in a faith that was established as a  young child during her First Communion.  Peggy volunteered in her community along with her family, friends, and co-workers.  Her greatest joy was her grandchildren.  She spent countless hours loving and teaching them.  Their lives will be forever impacted by her constant presence and unconditional love and support.  Peggy was a devoted wife, an incredible mother, and a phenomenal Oma, as well as a loyal friend to many.  Peggy leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion.  Peggy was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Kathleen.

Peggy is survived by her husband of 40 years, David Storer; children, Jason Storer, Rachel Smith & husband Bradley,  and Lisa Storer;  Grandchildren, Jacob Pierce, Kylee Storer, Tyler Storer, Canon Smith, Carson Smith & Lexi Storer;  Brother & Sisters, Suzanne Grasso, Pauleen Dolling, Chuck Guthman, Madeline Archer, Jane Birkey, Mary Young, Anne Blumenshine, Jo Fuller, and Shelly Osterman; other relatives, loved ones and many friends.

Services will be 2 pm, Friday, June 30, 2017 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Poteau with Father Joe officiating.  Interment will follow at Shady Point Cemetery, Shady Point, OK.  Pallbearers will be Jason Storer, Jacob Pierce, Bradley Smith, Logan Hayes and Robert Moore Sr.

There will be a Rosary and visitation on Thursday evening from 6-8 pm at Evans Chapel.

I love Peggy. She was apart of my eomc family. Knowing her made a difference in my life. Deepest sympathies.

Oh my gosh, this is like a bad dream . She was such a loving person. Will so miss you Peggy. Deepest condolences to the family She was a wonderful Lady

What a devastating loss. She was the very definition of caring and compassionate. I met Peggy 10 years ago. She was always smiling and asked "how are you?" And ment it. Sympathy to her family, She will be missed by many.
