Clarice (Dorey) Goodnight,
85 formerly of Poteau, passed away Friday, December 9, 2016 in Edmond, OK. Clarice was born September 6, 1931 in Poteau,
OK to Louis Joseph & Cleo Mildred Dorey.
Her childhood was spent on a rocky farm west of Poteau. She attended Pleasant Valley Grade School and
later graduated from Poteau High School in 1949. Clarice was born in the heart of the great
depression. Her life, as was the lives
of many of that era, was that of hard work and learning to make-do with
whatever was available. She raised her
family in that environment and both of her surviving children went on to become
highly successful in their field. She
became an excellent cook and after the passing of her husband, became involved
in handling several real estate ventures.
One thing always favorably commented on by those who knew her, was the
loving care she gave to her family.
Clarice was preceded in death by
her husband, Marshall Goodnight & one son, Larry Goodnight.
She is survived by one
daughter, Sherry Edon, Edmond , OK; one son, Jerry Goodnight, Cleveland, OK;
several grandchildren; other relatives, loved ones and friends.

Services will be 2 pm,
Sunday, December 11, 2016 at the Oakland Cemetery Pavilion, Poteau, OK.
