Jay Burnett, 89 of LeFlore,
OK passed away Sunday, October 30, 2016 in LeFlore. Jay was born January 30, 1927 in Summerfield,
OK to Ike & Lucille (Curtis) Burnett.
He was a veteran of the US Navy.
Jay loved to work cattle. He was
a member of the Summerfield First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and
wife, Juanita Delores (Anderson) Burnett on May 8, 2016; sister, Maude Cormack.
Survivors include his
children, Lafe & Robbie Burnett of Hominy, OK; Ja Anita Burnett of
Summerfield; 4 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; sisters, Lee Massena &
Neva Rizzuto; other relatives, loved ones and friends.
Services will be 2 pm,
Friday, November 4, 2016 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, OK. with Jim Cook
officiating. Interment will follow in
Summerfield Cemetery. Pallbearers will
be Shawn Wehunt, Larry Christenson, Craig Rose, Paul Robbins, Kendall
Carpenter, Alex Rose & Hunter Robbins.
