Virginia Johnson



Virginia Johnson, 84, of Poteau, OK passed away Monday, December 28, 2015 in Poteau.  Virginia was born September 2, 1931 in Poteau, OK to R. Bell & Ann (Willis) Williams.  She was a graduate of Goodland Indian School in Hugo, OK.  She attended college in Northeastern Oklahoma State University in Tahlequah.    She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Poteau.  Virginia  was preceded in death by her parents; 4 brothers, James Kenneth, David Bell, Harrell Leo & Robert Frank Williams.



Survivors include her daughters, Deborah Braden & husband Kenneth of Red Oak, OK,  Ramona Johnson Larrick & husband James of Noble, OK; son, Larry Johnson & wife Mary of Spokane, WA;  10 grandchildren, Micah, Alexander, Kileha, Carson, Casey, Kerri, Dakota, Bronson, Cheyenne, Sadie, Brooklyn and Blake; 1 great grandson; sister, Ramona Ann & Dr. William McCready of Seneca, MO;  brothers, Earl Neal Williams of Gilmer, TX, Reginald Don & Barbara Williams of Idabel, OK; other relatives, loved ones and friends.



Memorial contributions may be made to Goodland Academy (formerly Goodland Indian School) , 1216 N. 4200 Rd., Hugo, OK  74743.




Memorial services will be held 9:30 am, Sunday, April 3, 2016 at the First Presbyterian Church, Poteau, OK.

Already miss seeing her at the Choctaw Center on Wednesdays, very nice lady. Her family has my deepest sympathy.
