James" Jim" Porter Bandy, 73, of Pocola, OK passed away
November 23, 2015 in Pocola, OK. James was born October 29, 1942 in Monroe, OK
to Beck & Lorene ( Blaylock) Bandy. He was retired from self employment
from Arkhola Sand and Gravel. James and his family attended Cornerstone Free
Will Baptist Church in Roland, OK. James loved life, pheasant hunting in South
Dakota with his family, his dump trucks, and spending time with his grandson.
He loved to share his passion for racing with his grandson every Saturday
night. James joined the military in 1966 where he proudly served his country in
the Vietnam War.
James was welcomed inside
the gates of heaven by his father, mother, & brother Vester Neeson Bandy.
He and his family are now together.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years and 8
months, Janice (Martin) Bandy of the home; son Jason Bandy of Pocola, OK;
grandson, Dakota Bandy of Pocola, OK; his little dogs, Dopie, Hope, &
Little Tiki.
Services will be 2:00pm
Friday November 27, 2015 at Evans memorial Chapel in Pocola, OK with Carl
Cheshire officiating. Interment will follow at Monroe Cemetery. Pallbearers
will be Bobby Wann, Jimmy Borham, James Barnard, Floyd Irby, David Scott, &
Heath Borham. Honorary Pallbearers will be Scott Krigbaum, Alex Jones, Jason
Hartnett, Justin Larue, Ivan Cummings, David Smith, David Borham, & Mike
Lowrimore.
The family will be at the
funeral home Thursday November 26, 2015 from 6-8pm to visit with friends.
